GTA takes Tax Protest to Gwinnett County
About a dozen protesters greeted Gwinnett Citizens before a packed town hall meeting Tuesday night at the Gwinnett County Courthouse. Organized by the Georgia Taxpayers Alliance, the group held signs and handed out 100s of cards and stickers in an effort to mobilize voter turn out against the July 31 transportation sales tax referendum. The tax is estimated to cost taxpayers $8.5 billion over 10 years in the 10 county Atlanta region.
The event was covered by WGST 640, WSB 750, CBS Atlanta 46, AJC and Gwinnett Daily Post.
